I just bought an e7200 and was thinking about buying the gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L. Unfortunately, the e7200 is not supported (according to the gigabyte website) until BIOS revision F3. A very recent review post on newegg reports that the board shipped with BIOS F2. If I buy the board and it ships with a BIOS revision < F3, what are the chances it will POST so I can update?

I've tried other forums. Some people said they could POST with 8xxx series, others not. So, has anybody here managed to successfully POST on this board with an e7200 and a BIOS revision lower than F3?

None.

You can pay a small fee to a store who will flash bios for you. Most computer stores do. Bring the mobo & bios on floppy.

You can download the latest revision (currently F9a) from the Gigabyte website:

I've had the GA-EP43-DS3L with the E7200 since July 2008 and it's been fine since day one. Currently overclocked @ 3.8GHz, stable (that's a 50% overclock).
