Corsair H50 water cooler for 955 BE

Forum Overclocking : Heatsinks & Air Cooling Corsair H50 water cooler for 955 BE

The basic question is: is this cooler reliable and effective. The reason i want it is because its low profile. It seems that most large air coolers block ram slots on my MSI 790fx GD70, so this might be the only choice for high end cooling. Advice needed. And a little question that might seem stupid: liquid cooling needs thermal paste, right?

Yes, that cooler will perform on par or better than most aircoolers except the top ones of course.

And yes it does need thermal paste but i think it comes with some.

I didnt even know this was available yet, where did u find it?

Zipzoomfly for $75. Do i need to buy a bracket or something to attach it to the proccessor?

Nope, it should come with a fairly simple mounting bracket.

I have the LCLC and it is the exact same thing

Its weird, it used to be on newegg for $69.99 but they deactivated the item. Usually when an item sells out the will say "Auto Notify" so it can't be that. I wonder why they deactivated the item.

I found it at zipzoomfly. I was surprised newegg doesnt sell it anymore.

EDIT: im buying this tomorrow and i was wondering if i should buy Arctic Silver 5 instead of using the default paste.

Take a look here:

There's an air cooler that worked perfectly on your motherboard.

Look for a comparison between that cooler and the H50 later this week.

The paste on there is alright...

But the big advantage to that water cooler is that it is almost silent!

So is the Cogage True Spirit. In fact, its quieter, cools better, and costs half as much.

Newegg frequenty deactivates items that are out of stock. They'll be back in stock soon. They are selling very fast and since it is new, we are having a hard time keeping up.

Thanks for your interest in our cooler.

Will this be a good build to overclock 2500k to 5.0GHz?
