Ok, so I opened my OLD laptop, and removed useful stuff, and I'm not very good at hardware. So I need to know what kind of hard drive this is. I know its a 2.5". But is it SATA, or IDE. And will it be compatible with the enclosures that you can buy to turn it into an external Hard drive?

Thanks.

It's a standard 2.5" IDE drive with an adaptor, the adaptor can be (carefully) removed if you want to re-use the drive.

Thank you MrLinux. I didn't know there were adapters on this hard drive. I removed it, and now I will buy an enclosure. Thanks again!
