Hello,

Just bought 4GB (2xGB) of ram for my PC and I'm having problems with it.
I took the old one out and put these 2 ram sticks in. As soon as I turn on the tower
it turns on but the Monitor won't turn on. I reset the CMoS and then hit F2 to load
Defaults I believe. And that actually takes me to my desktop and everything works fine.
But when I restart the PC the same thing happens again.

I updated the BIOS and that still didn't do nothing. I've tried to change the Voltage of
the memory saved it and exit but every time I restart it keeps doing the same thing over
and over.

This is the information of the memory.

Model
Brand G.SKILL
Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ
Type 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM
Tech Spec
Capacity 4GB (2 x 2GB)
Speed DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Cas Latency 5
Timing 5-5-5-15
Voltage 1.8V - 1.9V

-----
Yesterday I went to BIOS changed the Cap Latency to 5CLK
and the Voltage to max and saved and restarted the PC and was working fine, but... The PC froze so I had to shut it down and now it's back to the same problem.

When I go to BIOS to change the settings,

Cas Latency - it was auto but changed it to (5CLK)
TRCD - Auto
TRP - Auto
TRTP - Auto
TRAS - Auto
TRC - Auto
TWR - Auto
TRRD - Auto
TWTR - Auto
TRFC0 - Auto
TRFC2 - Auto
TRFC3 - Auto
Memory Voltage - To Max which it was 2.4 or around there, forgot.

--
Didn't know what to do with the auto one's so I left them on Auto
Any help will be appreciate it,
thanks

try to run one stick at a time. if it doesn't work, try to loosen settings:
1. 6-6-6-18
2. 667 mhz, or 533.

Once it boots, run memtest. it sounds like one or both sticks are bad.
