Hi,

Just bought a FireWire 800 PCIe card for the pc so I can take advantage of the full transfer speeds of the WD My Passport Studio. I am running Windows 7.

The problem I am having now is the drive keeps autoplay-ing every so often in Windows 7. Its not that the drive is losing power (or maybe it is? should probably check that, but I cant hear it turning off and coming back on) so I wondered if anyhad had heard anything similar or had any ideas about how to solve this?

Having drive with USB 2.0 and FW 400 the problem does not happen. Just with FW 800.

Type in Autoplay in Windows 7's Start Menu. An option to change Autoplay settings will appear in the results, select that.
