Lanparty UT P35-T2R - 8gb Ram

Hi, i have a Lanparty UT P35-T2R and ive installed vista ultimate 64 bit on it when it had 2gb ram.
Now ive updated by taking out those bars and replacing them with four new kingston 2048mb DDR2-800 modules to bring it to 8gb.
My problem is:
The bios and the windows show both 8gb ram, but in the taskmanager it shows only 3445gb. I know with other boards that problem is solved by switching the memory realocation but with this board there seems to not be any option and it should switch automatically which it obviously didnt.
Any suggestions how to get it to run?

It seems odd that that that number isn't a power of 2. Are you sure you are looking at 'Physical Memory' -> 'Total' and not the total paging file size. I would verify this with something like cpu-z(http://www.cpuid.com). I only suspect this because if the allocations were somehow limited, like the 32bit version of windows, you would be limited to somwthing like 4096MB.
