so, I am upgrading into a new computer with these specs

processor: dual core E6600
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-p35-DS3L
Ram: Kingston 2G memory kit 800MHZ
Hard drive: Western Digital 320GB SATA2

now, I just recently bought a power supply, Thermaltake Tr2-420W and I don't want to simply throw it down the drain and wanted to know if the 2 +12V with 25A combined (as stated here http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Prod [...] =1537#Tab1 ) can handle a 9600GT or in another case the 8800GS?

I can't buy things off USA market or newegg or online stuff, since I live in venezuela, and thus I can't buy "top of the market" hardware since it's pretty hard to get those at good prices here, for example, just throwing the TR2 down the drain and buy a cheaper one...since, there isn't "cheap good psu" sold in my country

Any of those would work just fine. If you only have one hard drive, one optical drive, not many case fans, i'd say that you could even run a 4850, since it has a TDP of about 110W (roughly equal to 8800GT) and the 9600GT is 95W. The 8800GS is slightly higher at about 100W if i'm not mistaken.

oh good, and yeah, just one of each, I'm not gonna overclock or anything, neither use "gadgets" and the like at all
