Dont get any Asus **** for HSF...

Best around are Thermalright Ultra 120, Xigmtek HDT-Sxxx something ;) and the Tuniq tower.

Those heatsink designs are horrible. Heat only travel up heatpipes to an extent. Those necks are too long. The thermal difference will be high. It's a tested and failed concept.

See heatsink benchmarks:

This is the absolute best model, $40.

How much are you looking to spend?

The Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is cheap at about £15 but very effective (besides the standard Intel mounting device) and has many awards from trusted sources.

id like to keep the price under £50ish.

Hi ,
I've got the thermal-right ultra 120 extreme ,
Its a huge monster which won't fit into every case ,
but it does the job very good ,
my CPU was running on idle around 41-43c , after I attached the ultra 120 extreme , its dropped to 25!!!
15 degrees its a lot of improvement , I think its amazing and people should invest in think like that.. make its more expensive but its really will give you a quite mind for a while.
