made a little bit of progress.....here is the list up to date...
(once again, i am not that computer savvy and i am going to be paying a local store to put this together for me)

2 dvd burners
antec 900 case
seagate 250gb sata hd
seagate 750bg sata hd x2 to run in raid1
asus hd 4850 x2
intel core 2 duo e8400
corsair 750w ps
asus rampage formula intel x48

memory: would corsair 4g(2x2g) 240pin ddr2 800 be fine??

vga cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835186017
cpu cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835186134
memory cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835202003 would this even work or does anyone have a suggestion??
and would it be worth getting this fan controller http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811999178
if any of the coolers wouldnt work.....suggestions would be helpful
i will hopefully be buying all of my components through newegg

all thats left on my list are a couple case fans

First off, are you going to be massively overclocking? If so, I don't really see the need for the VGA or memory coolers. If you're not going to overclock, ditch the CPU cooler as well.
Do you have a reason for RAID 1? Just wondering.
Other than that, it doesn't look too bad.

i prob won't be overclocking unless i get some help from friends so all of the coolers are uneccesary??

ill be running raid1 just to have backup for all my photos, songs, movies etc.

If your not OCing the stock CPU cooler will be fine. RAM coolers are totally unnecessary and you shouldn't need the GPU coolers, a driver update should up the fan speed and cool the 4850's better.
