This is my first home computer build. Would like opinions on the components I've selected. Have I missed anything? What about more RAM? CPU cooler - Artic Cooling, Zalman, Thermalright? Hope to order soon.

The older raptors are not worth the money. The samsung 1TB drive can keep up in terms of performance. OR just get a single velociraptor instead of the 2 drives.

Get the ATI 4850 or 4870 instead of the 8800gt. Your board supports xfire going ati will give you the upgrade option later on. Also the 4850 is considered superior to the 8800gt and worth the extra 40 dollars.

550 watts is good if your sure you never going to go multi gpu. however the corair 750watt is an awesome unit to give your self a little head way as far as power is concerned.

I like vista ultimate. Has a great imaging utility and dreamscence is nice. however it's has no performance advantage. consider home x64 if you don't care about the ultimate utilities

Was only looking at single graphics card for now. What makes the 4850 superior to the 8800gt in a single card setup? Also, if I go crossfire in the future, how does a P45 motherboard compare to a X48/X38 motherboard? I read if going xfire, then a X48/38 motherboard is recommended over P45 .

Although, it really depends on what you're Xfiring. Theoretically, there shouldn't be a bandwidth bottleneck at 2.0 8x, however TweakTown claims there is. It is a review that Tom's Hardware and other sites have refuted, and other users attempt to disprove. Really, it's up in the air.

Oh, and the 4850 is simple a more powerful card.

Thanks for the input. Here is an update of what I'm considering. (changed power supply, video card, harddrive - added thermal compound)
Any more opinions? What about choice of CPU cooler - Artic Cooling, Zalman, Thermalright? What about choice of memory? Would like to possibly overclock. Hope to order soon.
