Guys, please help!!
My system goes all good for years since 2005 the system built.

recently, I started suffering following problem.

It all begins with randomly freeze.
Windows XP freezes without any notice and no error message at all.

then i started getting black screen after freeze, system goes to black screen for few seconds and
then flashs back to the freeze windows.

I have reinstalled the video driver, and now..

the same symptom, but i get VPU Recover error message after flash back from black screen.

and I can tell that the period between two crashes has been shortened. from few hours to now couple of minutes.

I am doing memory test right now, no errors yet.

any ideas guys??

Just exactly what mine did my friend, I had a powercolor X800XL cracking card then one day it started dropping out to black screens/locking up etc. As yours is it started doing if more often. Then it died :(.
Took mine to the shop along with the original card the machine came with 2.5 years later, not under warranty anymore but the nice people tested it and stamped R.I.P on it and reinstalled the original card, all for free.
There are some decent companies out there still :)

Yes i would say that sooner rather than later it will stop working all together. I would get a new card as soon as you can.

man...i just bought a new card today, and the stupid thing freezes again!!
its obviously not the video card problem through....

still wondering other cause of problem..
