hi all, Ive decided on getting a Intel quad 2 q9550, but i cant decide on the motherboard. I just want DDR2 compatible, and doesnt have to be sli.... was looking at ASUS P5Q deluxe but not sure if i should spend $210 on a board. Also anyone suggest a decent tower?

If you don't want crossfire, then look at the lower cost P45 motherboards. Asus has some at around $100.

If youre a storage/load nut, then check out the western digital black 1TB drives, they are suposted to be really fast. Other than that its a fine system.
