i live in the uk so uk sites and cheap is around #50 or under. the best board i have found is http://www.overclockers.co.uk/show [...] =5&subcat= but thats abit expensive

Why not just overclock with your current system?
That really would be the most cost effective way to go.

If you have FSB adjustments in the BIOS, read the Core 2 overclocking sticky and go to town.
If not, try a BSEL Mod and enjoy the free speed.

Really, there is nothing wrong with your current CPU.
Sure it is a little doggy at stock but it can overclock like a beast.
Similar with your motherboard.
While it is a MSI (ugh) and runs a quite old chipset, it is rated to run at 333Mhz FSB which gets your CPU (potentially) to 4Ghz before you even have to overclock it....

I already tried changing the FSB it jumps of 5 and i got to around 220 and it just wouldn't bot until about the 5th attempt where a screen told me bios has reset due to unsuccessful overclock.the hyper link does not work btw

Perhaps try setting your RAM to a 1:1 ratio with the FSB and bumping the CPU voltage a little.
Also, it is possible that it will be stable when you boot to the 266Mhz boot strap.

i have already tried 1:1 and i can't change the cpu vcore on my mb. I have heard about the boot strap thing before is it a good idea i thought it could kill my system and has anyone else done it with my processor?

Is bsel the same in theory as swapping the leads round in theory?

in my manual HW overclocking options are 200, 266 and 333 if i tried it, because i haven't changed the voltages or anything and if it goes wrong could i just swap them back and it would work?
