I just built my new game rig, with a Antec P182 and a Gigabyte EP35-DS3L......I put in the X-Fi Fatal1ty, (I have Logitech Z-5300e 5.1).....rear works fine, but I want the front panel to work, so I don't have to plug in my headphones in the back....the P182 comes with a HD Audio AC97 front panel connector, but its 2x5 pin with one pin plugged, and the X-Fi has a 4 pin connector....I tried connecting it....no worky....
The X-fi Fatal1ty doesnt have a front audio connector. So basically you are up the creek without a paddle. You could look at adding the Front IO to add connectivity to the front, otherwise you should have looked at one of the creative products that does have front audio connector like the titanium series.

You need to buy or make a cable adapter for the front audio panel. I don't know how well it works with the AC'97 connector, but I know it works great with an HDA connector.
It should have an IO connector and you can probably buy that crazy front panel for it that comes with the platinum cards seperate, if you can find it ^_^. Yeah I don't buy creative anymore since the whole driver thing. I mean I had like every Creative card before and including the Audigy 2, their speakers, even the DVD drive that came with their DXr3 board many moons ago. Yeah my next cards gonna be a Asus Xonar.
