I have an asus P5E3 delux wi-fi MB I have had 4 1g sticks of ram for a few months ( ddr3 1833 ) I want to upgrade to 8gigs. I bought 4x2g sticks of corsair 1600 and my PC wont even boot up to bios with any amount of that ram..1stick..2..nothing. Sooo......

To make a very long story short, i spent hours and hours on the web, on the phone with friends ( no tech available on weekends)I tried too many "fixs" to list and have come to the conclusion that asus MBs seem to have these ram compatibility problems.

My question. I want to run 8 gigs. I multi-task a lot and I would make use of the extra ram. I'm thinking about getting a new MB. I have QX6850E CPU and 8gigs of DDR3 ready to go lol. Any recommendations on a great gaming MB?

Your bios has set the ram voltages and timings to the old ram. Try resetting your cmos, or use a stick of old ram to get into bios and adjust timings and voltages manually, then you back to the new ram. It also wouldn't hurt to try a bios update.
