Is the failure rate higher with sata verses standard hard drives? If you believe sata failure rate is higher, we could be giving in to price, speed, large size for failures.

Any comments?

There is no mechanical difference between SATA and IDE drives.

SATA drives are standard drives. Why would the interface have anything to do with failure rates?
