Hi, I'm building up a PC for a friend, spec is:

Core 2 Duo E7200
Gigabyte S775 Intel P35 (GA-EP35-DS3L)
OCZ 2x2GB 240DIMM PC2-6400 Gold
NV PCI-Express 8500GT 512mb
OCZ 500W StealthXStream Power Supply

Have put it all together but when I power it up I get no display on the monitor, but no POST beeps either. Removing the memory or graphics card does make it beep though which makes me think that maybe the individual components are ok? All fans are working and can hear HDD spinning up etc. I've tried the DVI and D-SUB outputs on the graphics card and have disconnected all unnecessary devices but still no change. There is no additional power socket for the graphics card either so it won't be that.

Am I dealing with faulty hardware or am I missing something simple? :??:

I've built PC's before but this is my first for a year or so, what's changed?! I'm at work right now but my checklist for things to try when I get home are:

-Clear CMOS
-Try with just 1 stick of RAM
-Reseat all power connectors
-Remove mobo from case and try (in case of shorts)
-Try a borrowed graphics card (in case new one is DOA)

Any more suggestions people can think of? Many thanks for any help :)

Ok, an update - after swapping out the new memory for a gig of old PC-5300 I've got the display back and can get into BIOS etc, just need to get it set up with the new stuff now...

I've got a hunch that the mobo isn't set to the right voltage for the OCZ stuff (1.9v) but cannot find where to change this (or find the display to show what voltage the working memory is using). Am new to Gigabyte boards so again, if anyone can help it'd be much appreciated :)

If it's like other Gb BIOS, it should be under M.I.T. (Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker)...
