I havent gone bargain hunting yet, will do that over a week or so on newegg and tigerdirect. But, what do you think? ive pretty much put my budget to the limit, even had to expand it a bit. Just for your info, the mobo is a cheaper version of the ASUS x48 reaper, just missing a few features and $70 of the reaper's price. :D

Also, i dont really want to wait for new stuff to come out or prices to fall. And to the amd fanboys, ive already looked at amd and have made up my mind.

Id look at the wd640g hard drive. Supposedly the fastest HD besides raptors.

Great PSU but you can also get the OCZ 700w gamexsteam. its only 90 bucks after rebate if you need to save money

i think the samsung 22x dvd burner is best but w/e :)

if you get the HIS 4850 you get free crusial ballistix ram :)

and lastly id personally get the gigabyte x48 its only 225 and jsut as good I think but up to you.

i dont plan on overclocking for a while so ill just stick to stock heatsink/fan for now. Ill prob only use the dvd drive for installing stuff, so its not really important, but might as well get something decent...
Theres not much of a difference from the asus to gigabyte board, other than onboard sound and lan chipset. But its got more reviews to prove its good i guess. :) Thanks for the tip with the 4850, but im planning on getting 2x2 Gb Sticks and the offer is for 2x1 Gb sticks.

One questions tho, since the seagate has 32mb cache compared to the wd 640Gb with 16mb cache, how is the wd faster? does the wd have a feature im not seeing with the hdd's?

Oh w8, gotta recheck the dvd drive, its gotta be black to match the case.
