Hello all!
I can't understand why when burning a DVD it fails if I do multiple things while it's burning? WTH do I have to stop everything I do when burning a DVD media? And I would think having a decent system wouldn't cause a problem but it does.

What program are you using to burn discs? Do you have an error code/log?
If you're doing multiple things burning may slow down but it should not fail.

Might be worth checking to see if your disk or CD is running in PIO mode - that would use up a LOT of CPU time:

--> Start -> (right-click on "Computer" ) -> Manage

--> Click on "Device Manager" in the left pane

--> In the right pane, double-click on "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" to open it up, then do the following for each channel in turn:

-----> Right-click on the channel and select "Properties".

-----> Click on the "Advanced Settings" tab

-----> In the "Devices" box, make sure that the "Current Mode" is some variant of DMA

If a channel is not running in DMA mode then that might be your problem. To fix the problem, right-click on the controller and uninstall it, then reboot.
