Found a good deal for the ThermalRight IFX-14 Inferno and wondering if it will fit inside my Antec 900 Ultimate Gamer case.

Intel Core 2 Duo 8400 Currently OCed to 3.4GHZ on stock cooling, would like to get it up in the 4ghz+ range

According to a reviewer in Newegg, it will, but you will have to remove the side panel fan.

You can cut a few bits off the fan or the HS with no loss in performance.

I do not have a side fan on the Glass panel.. lol

So i should have no problem?

Should..... The amount you need to cut off the fan or heatsink would be a very very small amount. And the side fan really helps airflow. So get a side fan later if ya want.

What you should do is measure the top of the CPU chip to the edge of the case. Then go to the Thermalright web page and look up the dimentions for that cooler.

You'd have your own answer then, and be sure.

Yes, well im not really worried about the 2 large heatsinks
im worried about the heatsink coming from the back of the Mobo the small one

Im wondering if THAT will be able to fit

I dont think it goes out much further than the cpu cooler does.

check it out...

Ah thank you very much

Also from your picture its seems that you had to make the fans face downwards... were you unable to rotate the heatsink without it covering RAM slots?

Reply to Noobster15

Thats not my pic but i think it would block up ram slots ( ;
