Lost hard drive space, XP

capacity 275gb NTFS
used 200gb

but when i look at treesize im only using about 30gb

can anyone help, I don't know how to get the missing space back

Have you tried treesize running as Administrator? It might show you a different result.

The discrepancy is probably accounted for by page file, System Restore points, things like that.

not tried that, can't work out how, it's just treesize free and win XP I have

Right-click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator".

I think that's what I'm already doing since nobody else uses this computer
