I recently bought a Vantec tornado 92mm and wrongly thought that I could stand the noise it makes. So I decided to buy a fan controller to lower the rpm to a more tolerable speed. I looked aroung and the most often recommended controller was the Vantec nexus, which seem to have disapeared from the market. If anyone had a suggestion I would like to hear it. My only requierement is that it fit in the spare 5.25" bay of my dell xps435mt (yeah, I know it was a mistake to buy my computer instead of bulding it) and that I can have it shipped to canada

Thanks

Cheap, manual and WILL get the job done.
I have 9 120x3 fans on it, many others use this. Paint the LEDs on the front the are BRIGHT.

OP may only be able to put one fan per controller, the vantec tornado's a bit of power (if im thinking right they are 6k rpm, thats what mine were)

Thats not really a problem since it's the only fan that I need to control. And I think mine is 4800 rpm

If you will only control 1 fan then get this :

you will need an adapter to change it to 4 pin....

If you want something more flashy then go with the Rheobus but those leds will annoy.....

IMO this would be a better buy :

The second one wouldn't fit since the only bay I have is a 5.25". Also since i'm in canada, I can't buy from newegg.com, only newegg.ca

Ok well you can choose from these :

looks like newegg.ca needs more of a sellection.... but at least you have something to choose from, or maybe you have other sites that deliver to CAN with more hardware to choose from... Just make sure you buy what you need w/o going crazy with all the fancy features...
