Need help finding a motherboard.

Recently my p4p800 -e Deluxe motherboard failed(I think.. at least I hope) and I was out looking for a new one... unfortunatly only saw a few on ebay and the price is though the roof on many(and others won't ship to Canada)

So I need a motherboard that will do the same thing.

Please help. Either someone show me a way I can search for motherboards based on the components I need it for, or suggest some models for me.

I need socket 478(If i can get mobo + cpu cheap, then any cpu chipset will be fine, as long as I can get the CPU and mobo for around the same cost I expect to pay for the motherboard itself)

Need to have agp, DDR 400 ram, and 4x sata connectors(can be 2x 2 setup, but both pairs need to be raid)

Other stuff isn't as important, but as much 'alike' as the p4p800 -e deluxe as possible helps. The above is the most important.

(I do not have the cash to build my new pc and wont for some time, I want to get my system working again so at least I have that until I am ready to put together the new one. I am pretty much tapped out for money spending a LOT on this one to get it fixed, and being that everything I have bought for it so far is non returnable, I just want to get it fixed ASAP.)

Thank you for your help.

You can do a power search at newegg.com and select the options you are looking for. You really could probably "upgrade" to a more recent CPU/mobo/RAM for pretty cheap as well.

Here's one link:

http://www.esng.ca/productDetail.php?category=Motherboards&subcategory=Intel%20Motherboards&pid=230100216002&isid=1731

Only has 2 SATA ports though.

Also this link at 1C2C.ca shows many Albatron boards, although none are in stock say 8 to 10 days to receive:

http://www.1click2computers.com/searches/results.asp?product%5Fsearch=socket+478&page=1

Another link:
http://www.pcvonline.com/ProductsList.aspx?CategoryID=24660&23974&f1=193&f2=LGA+478

There are two boards, both are in stock. One is the AsRock board I link at the top. Both boards are in stock. The one with the SiS chipset doesn't have any SATA that I can see.

Another link, you'll have to navigate to them yourself, I don't have a direct link, again with the AsRock board, it appears to be available:

http://www.bestbytecomputer.com/catalogue.php?sku=

I am just going to give links from now on, most of them seem to carry the same motherboards. So it's up to you if any will meet your expectations and which ever location serves you best.

http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProdList&cmd=pl&id=MB.575

http://www.comtec.ca/motherboards-socket-c-195_197.html (This is in my home town, most things show out of stock, but it also says that the products were just added to their catalog, so they might be able to special order it)

http://www.icct.ca/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=5&sid=21692a0f603245dccffba338e5b8a9ee (here's your motherboard, but it's not cheap)

http://www.etccomputer.ca/eShop/default.asp?categoryid=7

http://www.microbytes.com/computer/ordinateur/index.php?cPath=2012001

http://www.microinformatique.ca/Page/prix2/prixdetail_similar_products_e.asp?cat=MB&cat2=MB478

http://www.mysterybyte.com/index.htm?content=parts.htm&side=sidepart.htm (have to navigate there yourself, no direct link, same AsRock board)

http://www.pccanada.com/inventory.asp?cat=MOTHERBOARDS

http://www.sohodiffusion.com/produit.asp?num=9127

http://www.yesplay.com/StoreProduct.asp?hStore=BR&hcat=CAT-25&hsubcat=SUB-70

Well I hope that helps. Most places seem to carry the AsRock board. It doesn't exactly match your requirements, but then beggars can't be choosers. It's a tough situation to be in. Hopefully my upgrades will come fast enough so that my boys don't run into that problem. My two sons get my hand-me-downs and they both have motherboards with 875P chipsets (one ASUS one Giga-Byte).

:( yea i need 4.

have 2 raid arrays and do not want to lose the data on them.

I never knew or thought that this mobo was going to be this rare, but I guess it's been good that it has lasted me this long.

And as for upgrading its just not worth it since I plan to build a system within the next year, and my idea is THAT system will last for as long as the one I am trying to give CPR to did(6+ years without a hitch till recently, and ate up any game or program I threw at it without complaints)

Problem is I found 2 motherboards that still support AGP, and 2 that still support DDR400, and 1 that did both but had only 2 sata's, all expensive for what your getting(tech thats 3+ outdated) but apparently this mobo was unique :(

What I think would help for this problem and people looking to build systems is a 'what components/options do u need' checklist search engine, to then give a list of all motherboards that support the said items u picked. Looked for something like that but can't find anything(although I can't be sure WHAT i would be looking for or how to ask what it is I should search for to find such an search engine/tool)

Thats the SE. It has most of the -E deluxe options, but only 2 Sata.

Like i said, not many have what i need.

This just plain blows. :p

I have an ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe and a GigaByte GA-8KNXP Rev 1.x both with 4 SATA ports, and as fate would have it, I don't use a single port.

Sorry I couldn't find what you were looking for.

Something tells me that unless you find your exact motherboard, you won't recover the data from your RAID array (especially from the non-Intel RAID controller).

Its ok, I defiantly appreciate the help and realize the amount of searching you did(spent almost as much time as I did apparently before i came here...hehe)

Thank you.
