Just thought I would share the benchmark results of my new Kingston 40gb SSD with the intel controller.

HD tune 2.55

Average transfer rate: 212.8MB/sec
Access time: 0.1 ms
CPU usage: 1%

Wow, windows 7 already loaded fast, but this SSD dropped a good 10 secconds of the starting time. I feel like I have a whole new system. Best $85 you can spend for your system if you haven't made the plunge to ssds or are unsure of the value.

I have the same drive, new build. Gigabyte motherboard, i5 750. When the bios picture dissapears Win7 and Ie8 load connected to Google news in 9 seconds. From a cold/hot reboot including the bios picture(loading) its 19 seconds. The bios picture is there for almost 10 seconds. My old setup with fresh win7 seagate 320 , 7200 rpm drive from cold start 46 seconds. That time was about 10 seconds faster than my 1 year old vista 64 install.
