driver installation

Ok so I am trying to install drivers for my graphics card ATI HD 2600 iceq XT agp , and I downloaded them from the manufacturers website since ATI doesnt have official drivers for this card, and I get a message saying "setup cannot proceed because the length of the specified directory path plus the installation name exceeds 88 characters" well to begin with I am having the upmost difficulty understanding this, and where is the directory path, and when I find it do I need to delete a bunch of characters from the name or heading?

Let me know I would really like to use my computer.

  1. Your problem is its AGP and there is a known issue with the AGP cards this is the hotfix driver page http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=31542
Download it and then uninstall the drivers you are using and install these ones.
