Hey guys my bro needs a new comp ( no monitor required ) for streaming applications and normal office work. My budget max is 600 $ and i want to build the best PC money can buy. Im also open for buying a prebuilt gateway or other kind of computer.

I actually saw
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883113071
and for 520 $ bucks this looks like an excellent buy

Im open to buy a prebuilt PC or build my own if i can get significant more quality for the buck!

Again guys thanks for helping out a noob.

You can build a quality gaming computer for under $600 so for office work it wouldn't be a problem at all. I recently built someone a good gaming system with a E2180 and a 8800GS for $500 which included my charge for building it.

if your going to blow cash on an 8500, just get a 780g mobo w/ sideband memory. lower energy bills and probably similar graphical performance. you could even step up a a cheap quad core

^ Right, there's really not a huge need to get 4GB. You could get 2GB of quality RAM for $50-60 and save a few bucks. Even 1GB would probably be fine for what the OP described, but with a $600 budget there's probably no reason to cut costs that much.

The Antec 300 case probably is over the top for this build, but it really is a great case and I'm sure it'd last through a few generations of rebuilds, and with great looks and cooling, if it fits in the budget, why not? (I did just get one for myself so I guess I'm biased, but oh well.) You could go for a flimsy $25 case which is a mistake I've made in the past... it's really worth it to have a better case.

Anyway, all that said, you could honestly go get a baseline Dell or HP with no monitor and it'd be perfectly fine for normal use, and you'd have a warranty on the whole thing too. Unless you're really into the idea of building this yourself, there's not a huge reason not to go OEM.

This is probably a bit overkill now, mbut it will still be able to do any office work in 5 years.
