10 for "coolness" hopefully..hehe

1 for aesthetics :P (still cool though)...enclose it somehow and paint skulls or flames or radiation warnings on it IMO. Are you gonna freeze your GPU(s) as well ?

At the moment this is only for CPU but in the future i will do it for GPU's to.

And like i said, im not completely done yet, and i was planning on putting it in a kick ass case. [:lectrocrew:6]

Wooo thats going to bring some awesome overclockability. Is this your first phase change? How expensive and difficult was it? Next thing on my radar is water cooling never mind phase change lol:p

It really looks cool. It looks big too. If it works out which i am sure it will do you have a big enough case for it? Or are you using it just for testing your overclocking?

Yep, this is my first.

I modded an ac into it so i got the parts REALLY cheap...

Compressor/condensor (came with ac)......$50

Tubing ........................................................$35

Braze...........................................................$50

Flex line/ braided copper..............................$100

Evaporator...................................................$15-20

-50c..............................................................PRICELESSS
Total.............................................................$250

This doesnt include tools and gas! Wich will ring up about another $200-250 (if you dont have them already) [:lectrocrew:6]

Im going to use it 24/7. I was going to use an old computer case and put it in there. Then have the tube running over to my rig.

Wow that does sound very cheap. I was thinking phase change is like $1000 or so. Good job!! Now hopefully it doesn't explode on you :p

Yeah, if you know what you are doing, phase change is all around us in the most obvious of places. Making it adaptive to PC cooling takes, well...some DIY to be blunt. Great job so far...keep us all posted.

Yeah, that is why i hate people who water cool....Because u can get negative temps for the same price. Or less if you have fancy WC.

Yeah definetly takes some DIY.

But it has been really fun welding it all together so far. I havnt been able to work on it in the last week or so but i hope to get out there and at least leak test it today. [:lectrocrew:6]

Well done man! If not already done so, post this over at xs, more hard core OCers there imo.

I was planing on doing some thing like this, but my other projects (esp. the custom CPU water block) took/taking most of the time.

Say Deity, as in one to worship for pleasure. It covers all faiths.

So, DEITY DAMIT! is much more acceptable..............

Yeah... i still need to test for leaks etc.

I am just going to test on the CPU. I wish i had a load tester, but i cant find where to get one and i have a feeling it will be mighty expensive unless i make my own.
