Will this bottleneck my system?

Hello there, im thinking of buying the new ATI 4870 card, and was wondering how well it will run on this system, not even sure if it can run on only 350 Watt.

[CPU] AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor 4800+ 2.4GHz
[Motherboard] MSI K9AGM2
[RAM] DDR2 2X1GB
[Hard Drive] Samsung HD321KJ 320GB/7200rpm
[Power Supply] Antec 350 Watt Output

it depends on your resolution but a 4800 won't even stress an 8800gt 512 !

it wouldn't be too bad depending on the game and the graphic settings, you'd hafta look at the reviews for each game annd the cpu charts here and make an educated guess...

Very likely that PSU will not be able to power a 4870. I was extremely surprised that the PSU calculator at http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp only said you'd need 345W. I don't have time to run down a bunch of links right now, but I'm thinking the manufacturer probably says you should have a minimum of 450W (that might be for the 4850). In any case, if it were me I would not risk it.

500w is the min PSU stated, but thats if the rest of your system is high spec and power hungry....350wjust wont be enough im afraid.

ull be fine. im tired of ppl saying u need 300 watts more then the system requires. ppl telling me my oc q6600 and 2 oc gtx 260 in sli would need like 750w to run. im running my q6600 @ 3ghz 4 gigs of ram 2hd 2 gtx 260 oc 680/1080 with my antec earthwatt 500.
