Hi everyone, I'm new to overclocking and I have this specs

PSU: ODIN pro 550 Watts
MOBO: XFX 750i SLI
Graphics: 2 x Palit 9800 GT Sonic 512 MB in sli mode
RAM: 2 x Kingston 2 GB (I think this is generic) 6 -6- 6- 18
HDD: 2 x WDC 250 GB 7200 rpm
CASING: Gigabyte I-SOLO 3134
OS: Windows 7 RC1

The problem is that I'm afraid I moght blow up my mobo if the voltage settings is incorrect. My target is at least try to run it @ 2.8 or 3.0 GHZ ..

Any help would be much appreciated

To run @ 2.8 set the fsb to 1600 and leave the voltage @1.25 (default).
If its unstable increase the CPU voltage 1 or 2 increments.

Be sure to turn off "Enhanced Halt State (C1E)" and Speed Step!

Your motherboard wont blow up unless you put C4 on it. XD

thanks for your advice.. I'll try it.

Don't set the CPU vCore or FSB VTT over 1.4v, anything else I have already maxed out everything else (besides RAM) on that board with no side effects.

when I try to set the FSB to 1600, it does not boot up. I tried again your advice to increase the CPU voltage, still it does not boot up. I also took the initiative to raise VTT by 2 increments and NB by also 2 increments(I just had to try :) ). still it does not work. Anything else you would like to suggest?

underclock the ram a bit to take that out of the equation :bounce:

Underclock by how much?

^ dont underclock it just change the ratio to "unlinked".

Can I ask for the actual settings for the VCore,NB,SB and VTT, and also the settings for the ram cuz I think you also have the same mobo and processor as mine. :)
