I've got a shiny new Ipaq 4700 arriving tomorrow and am going to need to
transfer my diary and my contacts across. Can anyone offer any advice on
how I can do this as painlessly as possible.

TIA.

You should be able to beam that information between the units.

But, of course, if you are going to use a WinCE device, you should start
getting use to pain.

While holding the Tungsten C safely and tightly above your head, place the Ipaq on the floor and jump up and down on it. The information will still be safely stored on the T|C and if you wear really good shoes it should be painless.

But then I wouldn't be able to use the Ipaq with the GPS receiver and
software I bought with it.

The Tungsten C leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to sat nav
applications...

BTW, I can never understand why some people cannot resist posting non-
answers to sensible questions. Seems they just need to push their own
opinions/prejudices in an attempt to compensate for their inadequacies.

Sync from the T|C to outlook and back to the iPaq from outlook again.

That did it (obvious now you've suggested it!).

Thanks.

When I initially moved from a Palm M515 to an iPAQ 4150, using Outlook, I
just synced and all my Contacts were immediately moved over to my iPAQ.
Other files can just be dragged and dropped as far as I know. You Diary
though, depending on it's format, may be a proprietary thing and may require
you to use the same Program, only use the one designed for use with the PPC.
