Hi my problem is this:

i have an xbox 360 and a dell inspiron with a nice screen =]

i have a cable that takes av output of 360 to vga input (which i have on my laptop) and 2 remaining audio rca cables (red and white)

i need something that converts those male rca cables to a female headphone jack. (to plug headphones into) so i can get sound and not just video!

i am picturing a little plug/jack with 2 female rca holes for the red a white, and on the other end a female headphone hole.

the other thing i could think of would be some sort of scart to headphone adapter. please could someone advise me on whether either of these exist or other possibilities? thanks

your laptop has vga IN? most laptops have vga OUT. There is a big difference.

your notebook has a vga INPUT?

are you sure that the port you think is the INPUT isn't the OUTPUT?

Yeah that's what I was thinking. When I first read the OP I assumed he already had the video working, but now that I reread it, maybe not...
