ok so this is going to be my first time building a computer. i have a budget of $1200. no monitor required. its mostly for gaming (crysis, SC2, upcoming games in the future) but i would like to use other stuff like Word and other programs.

so can anyone help come up with a nice build within my budget? and i dont mind going a little over the budget maybe $100 or so but if anyone can help that would be great!

thanks in advance! :ange:

^Very nice choices. That would be a hell of a system for $1000. The only thing I might change to get to the $1200 is a X38 or X48 and a stronger PSU in order to Crossfire another 4870 down the road.

I wish the HD4870x2 was out or knew what the prices will be. See if you could shoehorn it into the budget with a 750w power supply replacement

Me to, I've been waiting for benches to see if I'm finally going to replace my 8800GT. Unfortunately for him the card will likely be in the $500+ range so it and a larger PSU would be a little tough to fit in his budget.
