I am currently building a new machine and plan on OCing. I plan on using a Q9550 and 8GB GSkill SDRAM DDR2 800 in a Rampage Formula board. My main question is will the memory being DDR2 800 pose a hindrance to the OCing process? AKA should I go with something higher. Also, I have been questioning stock voltages for memory. Is there something I should be looking for more than less in terms of stock voltages for memory?

It won't pose a hindrance. You'll be able to get the q9550 to 3.4ghz without overclocking the ram. I'd recommend low-voltage ram (<2.0v) because I've had better experiences with those over 2.1-2.4v ram.

This RAM is highly recommended since it has good timings at the DDR2 standard 1.8v.

Any DDR2 RAM with voltages over 1.8v are already overclocked/overvolted from the factory which may limit your own overclocking. As stated, DDR2 800 RAM will allow the Q9550 to run at 3.4GHz, which is towards its upper level anyway. RAM that runs at 1.8v should also run cooler and last longer than higher voltage RAM.
