I'm currently looking to build a new pc that would be able to run 1920x1200 unlike my current agp8x machine.

What i'm looking at is around this price range, and i'd like to have room to upgrade in the future, rather than have to buy a new machine in a couple years

I am also looking to running a Raid 0 cfg with a dual boot xp / vista.

Stay away from GTX 280. I think you better change your mobo to X48 which has crossfire and get an ati 4870. Or, since your willing to put 600$ on your GPU right now, wait for 4870X2 which is rumoured to be faster than GTX280 sli. Later when nvidia comes with a killer you can change it for sli setup. Or, if you want the sli board, get the GTX260(its 300$ on egg now)
