I have a one month old Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB disk that sometimes(once evrey day) start "ticking", during the ticks i cant communicate with the disk and i would like to know if is broken?

This behavior continue maybe 30 sec then i usualy can use the disk again, some night the disk have gone unreachable so i had to reboot the computer to make it work again.
I made a soundfile from the ticking sound that you can listen to here http://www.mediafire.com/?ummnmv2i5to

Sounds like it is dieing. Backup what you can.
Run manufacturer hard disk diagnostics.

Are you still experiencing the clicking noises with your Spinpoint F1? Your sound file was not available on mediafire. If you listen closely, does it sound like the drives are spinning up immediately after hearing clicks? If so, the drive could be repeatedly parking in preperation for low power mode and waking up again. This happens sometimes with my Spinpoint F3 drives. Once this cycle starts, it may continue until I reboot. Still observing the behavior to gather more data.
