I have a desktop with XP Home Edition 2002 Service Pack 3, a Dell M1530 XPS Laptop Vista. I had to reload the printer driver for a Canon MP600 printer, and when I did, I could not get the laptop to print after reloading the driver on it. I have a wireless router and the printer is not wireless, so I was previously working of the desktop throught the wireless router. I remember putting a memory stick in the desktop I think to load some specs off the hard drive and then sticking into the laptop. That helped communicate with the router. It seem to be missing a step. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, well if you are sharing the printer on the network through the desktop it should appear in your network places I think.

What are your file and printer sharing settings at?
