This may be a difficult question to answer. I intend to use a 10' diag
screen, do not want any "screen door" effect (hence no LCD), and want
the absolutely best contrast with good brightness.
I hear a lot about the Infocus 7210, but I feel there must be
contenders.
Your help is much appreciated as I get ready to make "the plunge."

Thank you! This certainly looks like the one to beat.
I have looked at two reviews. No mention of comparison
with the InFocus 7210 however.
In your opinion, how would these compare?

The Optoma has much better contrast while the InFocus is a little
brighter. InFocus is in financial trouble, while Optoma is solid.

You might want to look into the new Panasonic PT-AE900U LCD projector.
It has much better contrast than previous LCD units and is dirt cheap.
It has no screen door effect at all due to better panels and a special
lens system they use. Just because you have 10K in your wallet does
not mean you have to spend it all to be happy. Save some money for gas
and projector bulbs.
