Hello, I need your opinion on an upcoming LCD monitor purchase. I'm going to retire my old trusty 19" Viewsonic CRT monitor in favor of a new LCD. I've narrowed down my choice of manufacturer to the HP LP2275W. I want to make sure that my video card can handle the native screen resolution(s) of this 22" wide screen. Now, don't laugh but my video card is a Geforce TI 4600. Current max resolution is 1600x1200 but I normally run my desktop resolution at 1024x768. I want to make sure that my video card can handle the larger 22" widescreen resolution without suffering image quality loss or screen stretching nor do I want to see black bars along side or top/bottom of the displayed image.

I've never owned a wide screen monitor and fear the picture/display will be distorted if I can't match the native resolution of the monitor with my video card. It seems as if the resolutions for the ti 4600 are setup for a 4:3 aspect ratio. I just need some assurance that should I go for a wide screen monitor my card can support it. I'm not a big gamer and I prefer visual quality/accuracy over pixel response time. I've done some research into the HP LP2275W (apparently the first 22"ws non-tn panel, it is a s-pva 8- bit panel) but reviews are almost non-existant . My budget is ~$400. Should I be concerned about pixal lag?
Help me decide~any suggestions are appreciated!!
