Right, now I'm soon to be ordering a new Rig but I need help choosing a monitor to go with it. To begin this is a basic idea of what my Rig is likely to be:

Q6600 (planning to OC to 3ghz at least)
2X4870s in crossfire
4 gigs Ram
500gb HDD
A decent Crossfire Mobo
850watt PSU
64 bit Vista
Etc etc

Now I know thats going to be a pretty powerful setup so I was thinking of getting a nice screen to go with it cos it should (i think) be able to handle the higher resolutions. However as I have never looked for anything beyond the basics in a screen before as I have never had such a high end system before I have no idea what to look for or what would be best for this particular system. Help! I am planning on using it mostly for gaming but I also do a fair bit of general stuff like word processing and browsing the internet, and I also watch Movies from time to time.
I have a Budget of Roughly £200/$400 for the monitor itself, although I can stretch it a bit if I see a really good screen just beyond that price range. (also if anyone has any recommendations for the rig itself or sees any problems I would appreciate it if you would bring it to my attention) Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

I picked up a Gateway FHD2400 monitor (its widescreen)about 2 weeks ago and i am amazed with it 1900x1200 i use it for gaming in AoC, WoW, TF2, CoD4. it does cost a bit more than what you want to spend though 480.

tons of connection options with 4 usb ports.

i thought it was totally worth it as i just upgraded my rig in january and i had not gotten a good monitor yet.

MY Computer specs

Mobo: Abit IP35 Pro Off Limits
Processor: Intel Core 2 duo 6750 OC to 3.3ghz
Video card: Nvidia 9800 GX2
HDD: 150GB Raptor HDD
RAM: 4GB GSkill
750 watt PSU

I can't find it anywhere on various online stores, you wouldn't happen to have a link so I can check it out would you?

This is what I was planning to get:

Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x2GB) Supplied with Airflow Fan (TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF)

Reckon it will do? Also I was considering 8 gigs of Ram, is it worth it?

Actually can I aim that 8 gigs of RAM question at everyone, I have no idea if it would be worth it or not or how much gain over 4 it will actually get me. Thanks.
