and it isn't going so well, every time i start vista ultamitex64 it crashes (0x0000001a) so I e-mailed Microsoft and they told me the error codes I got were a result of this
"An attempt was made to change the physics memories to the older 2 GB ones from the new 4GB ones"
So I ran memtestx86 v.2.01 it took 4.5 hours to get to 50% so I quit. but before I did it had come up with all kinds of errors. but one thing I noticed was memtestx86 was testing it at 6-6-6-18. instead of 5-4-4-15 witch it what it needed. I also tested my good ram that was in there before and it tested it at 5-5-5-15 witch is the time it needed and every thing was fine.
I read some ware that someone had the same problem and changed the psu to a 500w and it solved the issue. I have an 300w could that be the issue? I plan on putting 8 gigs in, @ 15w per gig that's 120w plus the quad core takes 100w @ full power.
