Hi guys i have just setup my new system basically

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz 'Yorkfield' 12MB Cache LGA775 (1333 Mhz) -
E0 Stepping.

Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8500 1066MHz CL5 DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

Asus P5Q SE Intel P45 (Socket 775) DDR2 ATX Motherboard

And im looking to overclock this i know the q9550 being a E0 stepping is a good thing.
but i have no idea about ram overclocking and stuff.
just wondering wat kind of speeds i can expect to get out of this
can anyone help me or guide me thank you

Two places to start:
HOWTO: Overclock C2Q (Quads) and C2D (Duals) - Guide v1.6.1

Core 2 Quad and Duo Temperature Guide

Then look for a guide on overclocking your particular motherboard.

Depending on cooling, both case and CPU, assuming that you do not get a chip with a relatively high VID, You should be able to get at least 3.3 GHz out of a Q9550.

I have an older stepping (D3, I think) and I'm getting 3.6 GHz. out of my Q9550.
