Hi,

I purchased the Asus Rampage Formula motherboard a couple of months ago.

I was wondering on some of the drivers installed on my system ...

Under Device manager -> System devices I have two devices listed I'm a bit unsure of
- Intel(R) X38 Express Chipset PCE Express Root Port - 29E1
- Intel(R) X38 Express Chipset Processor to I/O Controller - 29E0

My question is really - I thougt this was a X48 chipset motherboard....
Is there a reason why these "devices" (x38) are installed on my system?
Are they related to chipset on any of the other PCI-cards?
Is it safe to disable them?

I have been investigating this because I'm having trouble with large latency values on my system
(measured using DPC Latency Checker) causing stuttering in music streaming

System:
Asus Rampage Formula
Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9450 2.66 GHz
Promise SuperTrak ex4650 Raid PCIe controller
XFX Nvidia GeForce 7950 GT Graphics card
Windows Vista ultimate 64 bit

Hope someone can give me some input on this ;-)

Regards
Tord
