Hello, Im running an ASUS P5Q Pro and 4BG CORSAIR 6400C5DHX and its supposed to run at 800MHZ. When I run CPU-Z, it says that the memory is running at 394.2MHz. I also went into the BIOS and changed it to DDR 800 and it did not make a difference. One difference I did notice though was when I run ASUS EPU-6 and set it to its highest settings, it bumps it up to 418MHz. Lastly, the CPU doesnt even run at 3Ghz. Its showing 1970MHz. Is there a reason for it running slower?

Read the sticky in the CPU and Components forum (c2d not running full speed or similar)

DDR2 = Double Date RATE.... so clock of ram is at ~400mhz this is double hence your ~800

DDRx RAM performs two data transfers per clock, so although its actual speed is ~400MHz, it is effectively 800MHz
