My computer is almost 24/7 on for more than one year, around month ago my computer powered off
And then powered on and off many times automatically in few seconds,
I disconnected the power cable and connected it and powered on the computer normally.
yesterday was the third time this happend, but this time the computer did not work properly, there was no display, I opened the computer disconnected all cables and found that the there was a short in power supply - COOLER MASTER RP-500-PCAR - in ATX_12V_2X cable the two + pins were black, I tried another power supply and the computer turned on,
Now I want to know what is the problem is it the power supply or the mainboard or something else?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, most Cooler Master PSU's are really junky.
I highly doubt it was an issue with the motherboard.
I must say that I am surprised that it did not destroy anything when it died!

I would highly recommend getting a quality PSU to replace it, especially with the system running 24x7.
Look for a Corsair, PCP&C, Enermax, Seasonic or Antec Earthwatts PSU and you should be able to avoid this issue in the future.
