4870... but Asus' version of that card carries a better warranty then the saphire version of that card. Asus does make a 4870. Get that one.

4870 hands down. The picture quality blows nvidia away.IMO
I upgraded from a XFX 8800GT XXX Alpha dog.

I have the Sapphire 4870 1gb. AWESOME :bounce:

What proof?

That I upgraded from nVidia 8800GT?
That I own a 4870 ?
That the picture quality is better? It looks better to me.

I only play race sims,rFactor/GTR2/GTR Evo.

I have all settings maxed in game and in the ATI tray tools.

I get anyahere from 100 to 400 fps.

This card is great.

Its a matter of preference really, what looks good to one may be awful to another.
Most people i know prefer the way the stock set up of the ATI picture looks to the way an Nvidia card looks at default settings.
Equally another member may know a whole bunch of people who prefer Nvidia straight out of the box.
In older times X1xxx cards and 7 series Nvidia it was an issue that you needed to decide on as once you had the card there was little you could do about it.
These days however if you have the time and the inclination you can set up both camps cards to look near as the same as makes no difference.

If your saying this with just general specs..... as in pretty much any computer , I'd have to go with the 4870 as its better hardware. But the GTX260 is tempting because of the drivers. buy whatever is cheaper.
