Dear reader,

Someone stupid has caused a virus to spread in our school. Everytime anyone puts a medium in it gets infected.
I have an 8GB Emtec pendrive.

Trojan's name: INI/AutoRun.CYI (Named by Norman Anti Virus).

It's an auto-running virus.

Is there a way to protect my medium?

Regards,
Patrick

Solution
Make the flash drives read-only (you'd have to do this for each drive)

Disable auto-run in Windows (I think you can do this in Group Policy and many enterprise AV products)

Block removable media (though that won't help if you need USB drives).

Just a few suggestions to start - I'll try to think of other things...
