Hi, i've been using my current cpu (amd 3800+) for 18 month's now. I've managed to overclock it from a stock-speed of 2.40Ghz to 2.796Ghz, Vcore 1.42v. Exactly how far can i push the Vcore ?
I'm currently using an amd64 3800+ (Orleans) with a Vcore of 1.46v, ht 1165mhz,2gb ddr2 6400(800) at 932mhz.
Temp idle is 37*C, temp whilst gaming 50-52*C. FSB 233 x 12
This thread has been slightly useful but does any one know why when I push the base clock to 245 only to get a crash but yet its rock solid at 244. cool and quiet is off and the temps are good. CPU 3500+ Orleans same as the one above. Board is a gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS4 with F7 bios. Ram is at 667 5/5/5/15/20 at 1.904v while in the bios cpu volt is set to 1.275 (windows 1.296v). Please be easy I am a noob with AMD rigs and just built my first am2 box. HT clock 1221 while the core is 2.688GHZ (11x244). Is that a good oc for that core?
