The 1066 RAM has some issues just get 800 you won't even notice the difference in Mhz with DDR2. Oh and why such a small monitor? You want at least a 28"

CPU/case/cooler/HDD/monitor/OS/PSU/RAM - good.
Add a WD6400AAKS or two for storage.
I doubt you really need 8 GB of RAM for gaming.

I would not spend $281 on a P45, with perfectly good X48 MBs at $225 (P5E Deluxe, GA-X48-DS4).
If you're thinking of a single HD 4870X2 card then the motherboard could be $200 less (GA-EP43-DS3L) or $150 less (P5Q Pro).

How about P5E Deluxe and two HD 4870 cards? The PSU is great for that too, and this combo would be a bit faster than a HD 4870X2.

Why build a computer for a game that has yet to be released, and wont be for a few more months (optimistically).

I remember when a bunch of people built new computers for AoC and then hated the game, that was a good one.

thinking of replaceing the velociraptor with a 6400aks but the load times in mmorpgs may be worth it getting the velociraptor.Kind of wanted to have 1 single drive cause i didnt want much blocking the antec front fans. And I kinda like the features the maximus 2 offers and it looks pretty ,dun ya think?

I thought load times in mmorpgs depended on the speed of your Internet connection. I may be wrong, of course. Are you sure a Velociraptor would make a difference? It would be really annoying if you spent all that money without any serious benefit. Do some research and let us know, OK?

Man, a motherboard sits in a dark box while you look at the monitor. It doesn't have to be pretty...

you don't need a bigger monitor but i suggest getting one with a faster response time like 2ms
