Redo Raid and Disc Image Compatibility

If I create an image of my drive, so I don't have to reinstall all my newly installed applications, and then I break the Raid, create a new Raid 0, and change the block size, can I write back on the disc image and will it work? Or will it make no difference or undo what I am trying to accomplish?

Sorry, but I really have no clue about this stuff.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

  1. just to be redundant the image would be stored somewhere else right. if so then yes that would work just fine. rebuild the array with the block size you want and then write the image back to the new array.
  2. Yes the image would be stored somewhere else.
