Is there any point in 2 DVD Drives RW

I have got a spare dvd drive just hanging around not doing alot. I was thinking of putting it into my computer. But can anyone tell me is there any point to having 2 dvd rw or am I just wasting my time?

Outside of quicker CD duplication, not really much use.

You can have two different games' discs in the drive at the same time...

I wouldn't put it in unless you need to, for example, copy CD to CDR directly.

The main reason not to is the extra power it will draw (mainly) at boot up.

Also the drive will wear whether you use it or not, as the laser cycles each time the drive powers up.

the only reason i have 2 drives installed is convenience. i burn a lot of discs & it's easier to have one ripping & one loaded for burning so the process isn't interrupted etc. with super multi drives out now, there's not much point in having 2 i suppose
